For Health Care Professionals

How MCPHS Pharmacy Outreach can assist you:

MCPHS Pharmacy Outreach is here to help both health care professionals as well as patients. It is our goal to provide patients and health care professionals with a one-stop resource to assist in finding answers to their medication related questions.

MCPHS Pharmacy Outreach Pharmacists are available to answer pharmacy related questions. We offer a free Medication Therapy Management service to review a patient’s list of prescription and non-prescription medications to ensure that there are no interactions. We access the resources of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Center for Drug Information and Natural Products to research advanced pharmacological questions.

Through our newly created MassMedLink program, MCPHS Pharmacy Outreach is able to provide patients another avenue for concise medication safety and disease state management information. Patients can call the MassMedLink phone number at 1-866-633-6799 or visit the MCPHS Pharmacy Outreach website where they can learn about certain conditions and the medications used to treat them. Also through our Ask the Pharmacist section physicians and patients can ask their pharmacy related questions through the internet.

MCPHS Pharmacy Outreach Case Managers can review patient information to see what programs may be available to assist them with their prescription costs. We can also provide them with the information they need to better understand their prescription coverage options or how to use their insurance in the most cost effective way. Case Managers also work with health care professionals to answer billing, prior authorizations, and prescription insurance questions.
