Medication Therapy Management
MassMedLine is excited to provide Medication Therapy Management Services (MTMS). Staffed with MTMS certified pharmacists and in conjunction with the Center for Drug Information and Natural Products, MassMedLine is able to conduct a comprehensive review of a patient’s medications including prescriptions, over-the-counter, herbals, and supplements. This review includes appropriate medication use, possible drug interactions, drug duplications, and lower cost alternatives when appropriate.
MTMS has been shown to improve medication adherence, improve communication
between patient, pharmacists, and all providers, and improves therapeutic
outcomes. Once the medication review is complete your patient will receive
a Personal Medication Record and a Pharmacist’s Recommendation Form.
The goal of MTMS is to have the best therapeutic outcomes for the patient,
to have the patient have a better understanding of his/her medications,
and for the patient to take an active role in his/her care.
